Lacrosse

Stopfordians’ Lacrosse Club became a section of Disley Amalgamated Sports Club in 1987. In 2013 the lacrosse club merged with Norbury and the new merged club runs three senior teams in the North of England leagues.
Matches are played on Saturday afternoons from September to March. The lacrosse pitch at Disley is in excellent condition and additional facilities are available at the Norbury Club in Hazel Grove.
Norbury have a thriving junior programme and it is intended that junior lacrosse will also be developed in the Disley area during the coming seasons.

DASC is now the home of Northern Box Lacrosse, who hold various tournaments and sessions on the astroturf throughout the year.  Last season we were delighted to host the England Box Lacrosse team’s training sessions.

Members should note that the club cannot provide First aid cover when activities are taking place. Sections and indivduals are therefore responsible for making their own provision. However a basic First Aid kit is provided in the second drawer in the kitchen area in the Badminton Hall and a telephone is located in the kiosk under the stairs in the entrance foyer from which emergency 999 calls can be
